Terms of Service for Trimsize

Effective date: 4 November 2026

Trimsize (the "App") is a Shopify app provided by Appasol ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between Appasol and the merchant who installs the App ("you"). By installing or using the App, you accept them. If you use the App for a business, you accept them on its behalf.

Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms. It describes in detail what information the App handles and how. Shopify's own terms also apply to your use of Shopify and of apps on it.

1. The App

The App lets you price products by the dimensions, material and options your customers enter on the product page, collect artwork, send proofs, quote custom items and track what to make. It works through your Shopify store: its theme block, Shopify's checkout functions and Shopify's APIs.

Plans and charges

The App has a free plan and a paid plan, Pro. What each plan includes and costs is shown on the App's Shopify App Store page and on Shopify's plan page for the App. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan there.

  • Billing. Shopify bills paid plans on your Shopify invoice. We never take payment from you directly.
  • Trials. When a plan includes a free trial, you aren't charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Changing or cancelling. You can change or cancel your plan at any time, in the App or on Shopify's plan page, without contacting us. Shopify handles any proration. We don't refund a billing period that has already started, unless the law requires it.
  • Price changes. We give at least 30 days' notice, in the App or by email, before a price change applies to your plan.
  • Leaving a paid plan. If you leave a paid plan with more than the free plan's 5 priced products, we give you 30 days' notice in the App. You choose for each product past the limit whether it is paused (it can't be bought) or sells at its Shopify price without our pricing, and on day 30 we apply your choices. Until you choose, the 5 products you saved most recently keep their pricing and every other product is paused. If you are back within the free limit by then, nothing is paused. We keep everything you saved and delete none of it, and choosing a paid plan again restores your paused and unpriced products. You can't add beyond the free plan's limits, and the paid features close until you choose a paid plan again.

2. Your part

  • Your prices. The App calculates prices from the configurations you set: formulas, material rates, minimums, rules and size limits. Check them before you sell. You are responsible for the prices your store charges and for honoring them.
  • Your store and your customers. You are responsible for your products, your dealings with your customers, the artwork and files they send you, and following the laws that apply to your store.
  • Your privacy notice. Tell your customers, in your store's privacy policy, that you use apps to price and fulfill custom orders, as the law where you sell requires.
  • Fair use. Don't use the App for anything unlawful, try to break or overload it, get around its security or limits, or copy or resell it.

If the App can't calculate or confirm a configured product's price, it may stop that product from being added to the cart or bought, rather than let it sell at the wrong price. Your other products are not affected.

3. Data processing

This section is our data protection agreement with you, for the personal data of your customers that the App processes for you.

  • Roles. You are the controller (under the CCPA, the business) of your customers' personal data. We process it as your processor (service provider), only to provide the App as you set it up and as these terms describe. Those are your instructions to us. Information about you as a merchant, such as your shop's domain and the App's access to it, is ours to handle as the Privacy Policy describes.
  • What we process. The App keeps very little: it does not store your customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses or payment details. What it handles is listed in the Privacy Policy, §2.2: for example, what a shopper enters to get a price, the shopper's IP address for a few minutes for abuse protection, and the order lines it reads to show your production queue.
  • Limits. We don't sell or share your customers' personal data, use it for advertising or profiling, combine it with data from other stores, or use it for any purpose but providing the App.
  • Confidentiality and security. Only the people at Appasol who operate the App can access production systems, and they keep what they see confidential. We protect data as the Privacy Policy, §5 describes: encrypted connections, encrypted access tokens, and checks that requests come from Shopify.
  • Subprocessors. You authorize Render Services, Inc., which hosts the App's servers and database in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union), and Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry), which stores the App's error reports in the European Union (Frankfurt). Shopify runs the platform your data lives on, under your own agreement with Shopify. We will tell you before adding or replacing a subprocessor, and you may stop using the App if you object.
  • Your customers' requests. We answer the privacy requests Shopify sends us for your store, and we will help you answer any other request a customer makes to you about their data.
  • Breaches. If a security breach affects your customers' personal data, we will tell you without undue delay, with what we know, and help you meet your own obligations.
  • Deletion. When you uninstall the App, we delete your store's data on the schedule in the Privacy Policy, §6. Data the App wrote into your Shopify store stays under your control there.
  • Records. On request, we will give you the information you reasonably need to show that this section is followed.

4. Changes to the App

We improve the App over time and may change or remove features. If a change takes away something you rely on, we will tell you in the App or by email in advance where we can. We may suspend a store's access to protect the App, other merchants or shoppers, for example in case of abuse.

5. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. It depends on Shopify, and changes Shopify makes can affect how it works.

6. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, sales or data. Our total liability for all claims about the App is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights you have as a consumer.

7. Ending

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may end these terms if you seriously breach them, or if we stop offering the App, with at least 30 days' notice unless the breach requires otherwise. Sections 3, 5 and 6 continue to apply as long as they are relevant.

8. Changes to these terms

We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the App or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the App after that, you accept the new terms.
