Priced the way you sell

Flooring is sold by the box, so the maths is: room area, plus the pattern's waste, divided by the box's coverage and rounded up. In the starter, a 4 × 3.5 m room of oak laminate at $14.95 per m² in boxes of 2.2 m² needs 7 boxes laid straight ($230.23) or 8 in herringbone ($263.12). With underlay and edge trim, the straight-laid room is $369.23. The flooring by the box guide has examples in feet and for tiles.

Each box size needs its own product, since the box maths lives in the product's formula. Set the waste per pattern to the allowance you recommend in store.

From order to the warehouse

Each line says the room size, pattern, floor and extras, so the box count you pick is the one the customer paid for. On Pro, the production queue totals the room area ordered in each floor across open orders, and quotes as draft orders cover whole-house jobs.
