Glass and acrylic cut to size pricing for Shopify

In short: Trimsize lets glass and acrylic shops sell cut-to-size panels on Shopify. Customers enter the width and height to the eighth of an inch, as they measured it, choose the thickness and the finishing; Trimsize prices the area at your rate per square foot with a minimum per piece, adds polished edges around the perimeter, drilled holes and rounded corners, and Shopify charges exactly that at checkout.

What your customers get

  • The size they measured, in whole inches and a fraction picked beside them: 35 and 3/8, not 35.375.
  • Thickness and material as a choice, each at its own rate and minimum.
  • Finishing in the price: polished edges around the piece, drilled holes and rounded corners.
  • The exact total before checkout, with no wait for a quote.

Priced the way you sell

Cut-to-size glass and acrylic are priced by area with a minimum per piece, then the finishing. In the starter, a 24 × 36 in panel of 1/4" clear acrylic at $20 per sq ft is $120; polished edges add $1.50 per foot of edge, $15 for its 10 feet, four drilled holes add $12 and rounded corners $10, for $157. A small 12 3/8 × 10 1/2 in piece of 1/8" acrylic is under a square foot, so it pays the $25 minimum. Pieces over 72 in add an oversize handling fee.

Set your own rates per thickness, your minimums and your finishing prices. Fractions can go to the half, quarter, eighth or sixteenth of an inch, and the order records the size as a decimal for your saw.

From order to the cutting table

Each line says the size, the material and the finishing, so the piece you cut is the piece the customer paid for. On Pro, the production queue shows sizes as fractions, totals the area ordered in each material, and prints job tickets; quotes as draft orders cover trade and phone orders.
