Sign shop pricing calculator for Shopify

In short: Trimsize lets a sign shop sell on Shopify the way it quotes at the counter. Customers enter the width and height, pick the substrate, and add stakes, holes, corners or a rush; the price is your rate per square foot with your minimum, and Shopify charges exactly that at checkout. No variant tables, no "email us for a price".

What your customers get

  • Any size they need, in inches or feet, within the limits your equipment can cut and print.
  • The substrate as a choice: Coroplast, ACM, aluminum, magnet or window perf, each with its own price per square foot and minimum.
  • The price as they type, with single or double sided, H-stakes, rounded corners, mounting holes and turnaround added in.
  • Artwork upload next to the size, with a resolution check for the size they ordered, so a 72 dpi logo on a 4 × 8 ft sign gets flagged before you print it.

Priced the way you quote

Sign pricing is area times a rate, with a minimum, then the extras. Trimsize adds them in a fixed order: the substrate's price (never below its minimum), then fixed extras like stakes and holes, then percentages like double sided, then quantity breaks. In the guide's example, a 24 × 18 in double-sided yard sign with two stakes, at $4.50 a square foot and a $15.00 minimum, comes to $28.00; fifty of them at 20% off are $22.40 each. Rush is a turnaround choice (+50% in the starters). Oversize or setup fees are pricing rules: one per product on Free, as many as you like on Pro. Quantity breaks for runs are on Pro too.

From order to the shop floor

Every order line carries the size, substrate and options, so you know what to cut without a back-and-forth. On Pro, paid orders land in a production queue with due dates and material totals, so you know how many sheets of ACM the week needs. Print job tickets for the bench, send proofs for the customer to approve, and turn big jobs into quotes as draft orders.

Questions

Can I sell yard signs and aluminum signs from one store?

Yes. Make each sign type its own product, or offer several substrates on one product, each with its own rate per square foot and minimum charge.

How do customers send me their sign artwork?

Turn on artwork upload and customers attach their file next to the size. Trimsize checks its resolution for the size they ordered, the file name shows on the order, and the file is saved to your store's Files.

Can I charge less per sign for bigger runs?

Yes, on Pro. Set up to four quantity breaks, each a percentage off every sign from a quantity on, and the product page shows the breaks under the price.
