Pricing

Pricing rules

Fees, multipliers and discounts that apply when a condition holds.

Rules change the price when a condition holds: an oversize fee, a rush multiplier, a discount on large sizes. On the editor's Rules & limits tab, in the Pricing rules section, click Add rule.

Parts of a rule

Description
Shown in the price breakdown, e.g. "Oversized handling fee". Without one, the step reads "Price adjustment".
Condition
A Field (Width, Height, Perimeter, or Length on a product priced by length, Quantity or an add-on), an Operator and a Value. Numbers compare with greater than, less than, equals and so on; a Choose-one add-on with is or is not a choice; a Yes / no add-on with is selected or is not selected. A Text add-on is tested by its length: its field is the add-on's name followed by characters, such as Engraving: characters greater than 10.
Action
Add flat fee (it can be negative), Multiply price or Apply discount % (above 0, up to 100). The amount is a number or a formula of the size, quantity and add-ons, such as 4 * length or width > 96 ? 60 : 40.

A formula amount is worked out for each order: a multiplier must come to more than 0 and a discount to 0–100 for every size you allow. If it doesn't, that order can't be priced and Add to cart waits, so check the formula at your size limits in the live preview.

Order

On the free plan each product can have one rule; Pro has no limit.

Rules apply after add-ons, in the order listed, each to the price so far. A 10% discount followed by a $40 fee gives a different price from the other way round. See How prices are calculated.

A condition on Quantity sees the quantity in your theme's quantity box on the product page, and the cart quantity at checkout. For volume discounts use quantity breaks, which the product page also shows as a table.
