Permissions and data
What Trimsize can access, what it keeps, and uninstalling.
Optional permissions
Trimsize asks for three optional permissions, each only when you first use the page that needs it:
| Permission | Asked for on | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Read orders | Production | The production queue, job tickets, material totals and deleting unused artwork |
| Update orders | Production (first stage change) or a ticket (first proof) | Saving stages and proofs on the order |
| Draft orders | Quotes | Creating quotes as draft orders |
Your data
- Trimsize doesn't read your customers' names, addresses, emails or phone numbers.
- It doesn't store orders: the production queue and CSV are built when you open them.
- Pricing is stored on your products in Shopify, and stages and proofs on your orders.
- Trimsize keeps a copy of your products' catalogue details (title, status, vendor, product type, tags, SKUs, Shopify price, stock and a link to its image) so Products can search, filter and sort them. It holds no customer details, and is deleted when you uninstall.
- Unused artwork is deleted from Files 30 days after upload.
The Privacy Policy has the details, and the Terms of Service the terms.
Uninstalling
When you uninstall, Trimsize stops pricing and deletes its copy of your product details at once. 48 hours later, it deletes your pricing configurations, templates and saved views from its servers. What it saved in your store stays there: the pricing settings on your products, stages and proofs on your orders, uploaded artwork in Content › Files, and draft orders.
To leave no Trimsize settings on your products, click Remove pricing on each configured product before you uninstall.
