Quantity breaks
A lower price per item when shoppers order more.
Take a percentage off each item when a shopper orders more of the same item: the same size, material and add-ons. On the editor's Rules & limits tab, in the Quantity breaks section, click Add break.
Quantity breaks are on the Pro plan. Try it free for 14 days.
Setting up breaks
- Up to 4 breaks.
- From quantity: a whole number from 2 to 10,000, larger than the break before.
- Discount (%): more than 0% and up to 90%, with at most 2 decimals, larger than the break before.
Each row shows its range, such as "10–24 items" or "100 or more items".
Example
| Quantity | Discount | At $20.00 each |
|---|---|---|
| 1–9 | None | $20.00 |
| 10–24 | 5% | $19.00 |
| 25 or more | 10% | $18.00 |
How they apply
- After the rules, on the rounded price per item.
- Per cart line: 10 of one size and 10 of another are two lines of 10, not one of 20.
- At checkout, using the quantity in the cart. Adding the same item again merges into its line, and the break applies to the total.
On the product page, the Show quantity breaks setting adds a "Buy more, save" table with the price per item at each break. See Product page block.
The block's price follows the quantity in your theme's quantity box, so it shows the break the shopper reaches. If the cart already holds the same item, the add merges into its line and checkout applies the break for the line's new quantity.
If your formula, a rule or a validation uses quantity, the table lists the breaks without prices, because it can't price other quantities exactly. The price above it, for the quantity chosen, is still checkout's.
