Descriptions, hints and help lines	A choice's or material's description up to 80 characters, a size field's hint up to 40 and its help line up to 100. See Tiles, cards and swatches.
Translations	5,000 words per language, 500 characters each. See Translations.
Images on choices	PNG, JPEG, WEBP or GIF from Files, up to 20 MB and 20 megapixels
Pricing rules per product	50

Size of one product's pricing	10,000 bytes, Shopify's checkout limit (the editor tells you if you go over)

The limit of 7 custom-size items per order, and the 10,000-byte size, come from Shopify's checkout functions. Most products are far below the size limit.
